I love food. It’s my passion and a massive ingredient of my life. I’ve worked in the food business for 25 years, for both Waitrose and as development chef at Sainsbury’s where I honed my skills and gained a greater understanding of the provenance of food. A stint in Australia working in a fantastic kitchen allowed me to appreciate the amazing ingredients the world has to offer. But it’s been growing my own catering company that has given me the biggest thrill – whether I’m cooking intimate family meals in stately homes, being flown to Aspen to cook on a private ranch, or catering for a beautiful Surrey wedding, my culinary journey never stops.
I’m always keen to add to my depth of knowledge about food – maybe it’s a new ingredient, new trend or new spin on a classic. I love the creative process; I work hard with my clients to make sure their day is everything they’d hoped for. I’m often told that the guests can’t stop talking about the delicious food and our personal service. Well, with three hungry boys and a husband who works in the restaurant industry, my harshest critics are at home!
